Amerika yaqin orada Toshkentga yangi vakil yuboradi. Aloqalar yangilanishida muhim rol o’ynagan Richard Norlandning xizmat muddati tugar ekan, o’rniga hozirda Davlat kotibi muovini Robert Bleykning o'ng qo'li Jorj Krol (George Krol) ko’rsatilgan. U butun Markaziy Osiyo bo'yicha mas'ul rasmiy. Nomzod Senat tasdig’idan o’tishi kerak.

Krol avval Belarusda elchilik qilgan, Rossiya, Ukraina, Polsha va Hindistonda diplomatik vazifalarni o’tagan. Rus tilini biladi. AQShning Garvard, Britaniyaning esa Oksford singari nufuzli oliygohlarini bitirgan.

Jorj Krol 1982 yildan beri diplomatiya sohasida ishlaydi. Ikki yil avval Krol Turkmanistonga elchilik qilish uchun ko’rsatilgan, ammo Senat tasdig’idan o’tmagan.

“Jorj Krol - usta diplomat. Tasdiqlansa, uning ajoyib elchi bo’lishiga ishonaman”, - deydi Bleyk (Robert Blake), "Amerika Ovozi" bilan suhbatda.

Uning aytishicha AQSh O’zbekiston bilan hamkorlikni mustahkamlashga bel bog’lagan.

7 iyul kuni AQSh Davlat kotibi muovini O'zbekistonning Vashingtondagi elchixonasida o’tgan biznes forumda so’zlab, ishbilarmonlarni sarmoya kiritishga, O’zbekistonni esa bu investitsiya samara berishi uchun sharoit yaratishga chaqirgan.

"Informatsion texnologiya, oziq-ovqat sanoati, energetika kabi sohalarni rivojlantirishda yordam berishni istaymiz va kompaniyalarimizda qiziqish katta”, - deydi u.

Robert Bleyk fikricha AQShning nafaqat O'zbekiston balki mintaqa bo’ylab barcha davlatlar bilan hamkorlikni oshirayotgani to’g’ri qabul qilinishi kerak. Chunki, deydi u, aloqalar yaxshilanishi ijobiy o’zgarishlarga yetaklashi turgan gap. Orada muloqot kechishi, fikr almashilishi zarur, deydi u.

Muzokaralarda huquq va demokratiya masalasi chetda qolmoqda degan iddaolar, uning nazarida, asossiz.

“Fuqaro jamiyati qurish, erkinlikni e’zozlash va tazyiqlarni bas qilishga undash… Biz har bir uchrashuv yoki muloqotda buni e’tibordan chetda qoldirmaymiz”, - deydi Robert Bleyk.
