Massachussetts shtatidan uzoq yillik senator endi AQShning bosh diplomati. Bugun Senat prezident Barak Obamaning bu boradagi taklifini ma'qulladi.

Kerri o'tgan to'rt yildan beri Senatning Tashqi aloqalar qo'mitasiga raislik qilar edi. Ushbu lavozimda dunyo kezgan tajribali arbobdir.

69-yoshli Jon Kerri, Vyetnam urushi qahramoni, 2004-yilda prezidentlikka harakat qilib, respublikachi Jorj Bushga yutqazgan. 

Kerri Kongressda ham demokratlar, ham respublikachilar orasida obro'-e'tiborga ega.

1-fevral kuni Kapitoliyda kechgan qasamyod marosimidan so'ng Xillari Klinton davlat kotibi lavozimini Kerriga topshirdi. 

Kerri ikki yil oldin mintaqaga safar qilgach Markaziy Osiyo bo'yicha o'z siyosiy takliflari bilan chiqqan. Ular bilan mana bu yerda tanishing.
