Shu hafta Jenevada boshlangan xalqaro konferensiyada 130 mamlakat hamda o’nlab xalqaro nodavlat tashkilotlari delegatlari simob moddasining inson salomatligi va tabiatga zararini cheklovchi xalqaro bitimni muhokama qilmoqda. Anjuman BMTning atrof-muhit dasturi tomonidan tashkil etilgan.

Mutaxassislar simob moddasining inson salomatligi va tabiat uchun xavfi tobora oshib borayotgani yuzasidan xavotir bildirmoqda. BMTning yangi hisobotida inson faoliyati oqibatida atmosferaga yiliga 2000 tonna simob chiqarilishi aytiladi. Demak, o’simliklar, tuproq, okean, dengiz va daryo suvlari simob moddasi bilan zaharlanishi xavfi yuqori.

Tashkilotning kimyoviy tadqiqotlar bo’limi direkori muovini Deyvid Payper “Amerika Ovozi” bilan suhbatda zaharlangan baliq go’shtini iste’mol qilish orqali odamlarga ham zarar yetayotgani haqida gapiradi:

“Kichik baliqlar mikroorganizmlarni yeydi, so’ngra kattaroq baliqlarga yem bo’ladi. Oxir-oqibat biz, insonlar ham baliq iste’mol qilamiz. Buning natijasida odam organizmida katta miqdorda simob yig’ilishi mumkin. Bu esa zaharlanish ehtimolini oshiradi”, - deydi u.

Simob inson miyasi va asab tizimini ishdan chiqaradi, yosh bolalarning jismoniy va ruhiy taraqqiyotiga salbiy ta’sir qilishi ham aniqlangan. Homilador ayol simob moddasini ovqat orqali iste’mol qilsa homilaga jiddiy shikast yetishi mumkin.

BMTning atrof-muhit dasturiga ko’ra, ko’pgina rivojlangan mamlakatlarda simob moddasiga qarshi cheklovlar joriy etilgan bo’lsa-da, rivojlanayotgan mamlakatlarda bu masalaga yetarli e’tibor berilmaydi.

Oltin konlaridan hamda ko’mirni yoqish oqibatida atmosferaga katta miqdorda simob chiqadi. Osiyo mamlakatlarida sanoat rivojlanar ekan, turli chiqindilar ichida bu zaharli modda hajmi ham ko’payib bormoqda, deydi BMT rasmiylari.

Hisobotda qayd etilishicha, dunyoda ishlab chiqariladigan oltin hajmining 35 foizi, ya’ni 727 tonnasi aynan kichik konlarda qazib olinadi. Payperning aytishicha, bu Afrika, Osiyo va Shimoliy Amerika aholisi salomatligi uchun jiddiy tahdid.

“Hozirda dunyoning 70 mamlakatida kichik oltin konlari mavjud bo’lib, ularda 10-15 million odam ishlaydi. Balki aslida bundan ham ko’proqdir. Tilla narxi balandligi va qashshoqlik bunday konlarning ko’payishiga turtki bo’lyapti. Odamlarga daromad kerak-da”, - deydi tadqiqotchi.

Odam salomatligi va tabiatga ziyonni kamaytirishni istasak, simobni ishlatishdan voz kechish kerak, deydi Payper. Biroq oltin sanoatidan katta daromad olayotganlar faoliyatini to’xtatishi amri mahol. Jenevadagi anjuman qatnashchilari simobning atmosferaga chiqishini nazorat qilish haqidagi xalqaro bitim doirasida shu masala xususida ham muzokara olib bormoqda.

Hujjat tarkibida simob bo’lgan mahsulotlar ishlab chiqarishni to’xtatishni ko’zda tutadi. Shu bilan birga boy hukumatlarni rivojlanayotgan mamlakatlarga sohani nazorat qilishda ko’maklashishga undaydi. Bitimning shu yil oxirida Yaponiyada qabul qilinishi kutilmoqda.
