AQSh prezidenti Barak Obama 20 ta bola o’limiga sabab bo’lgan fojia mamlakatda qayta takrorlanmasligi uchun qo’lidan kelgan barcha ishni qilishga tayyor ekanini aytdi. Juma kuni Konnektikut shtatidagi boshlang’ich maktablardan birida ro’y bergan qonli voqeada 30 ga yaqin odam halok bo’lgan edi. Ularning aksariyati 10 yoshgacha bo’lgan bolalar. Mamlakat hanuz motam tutmoqda. Konnektikut shtatida maktablar yopiq. Prezident Obama halok bo’lgan bolalar oilalari bilan ko’rishgan.

Nyutaun shahridagi ta’ziya marosimida Obama bunday fojianing yana takrorlanishiga biz yo’l qo’ya olmaymiz, dedi u.

“Biz bu narsani ortiq hazm qila olmaymiz. Bunday fojialar tugashi kerak. Buning uchun esa biz o’zimizni o’zgartirishimiz kerak. Bu kabi hodisalarning sababi murakkab deyishadi. To’g’ri, hech bir qonun yoki qonunlar majmuasi dunyodan yovuzlikni to’la yo’qota olmaydi. Ammo shunaqa ekan deb jim o’tirmasligimiz kerak”, - dedi AQSh davlat rahbari.

Nyutaun shahridagi ommaviy qotillikdan so’ng Amerikada qurol nazoratiga doir bahs-munozaralar yana avj oldi. Chora tarafdorlari bu bilan jamoat xavfsizligini ta’minlash mumkin desa, qurolga egalik qilish huquqini himoya qiluvchi tomonlar nazarida qurolsiz xavfsizlik bo’lmaydi.

20 yoshli qotil Adam Lanzaning uyida uchta qurol bo’lgan. Lanza boshlang’ich maktabga otlanishdan oldin uyda onasini otib o’ldirgan. Yigit onasini, so’ng maktabdagi 20 nafar yosh bola va olti xodimni hamda o’zini nega o’ldirgani haligacha aniq emas.

Bunday hodisa Qo’shma Shtatlarda ilk bor ro’y berishi emas. Ayrimlar muammo qurollarda deb, ularni man qilishga, nazoratini kuchaytirishga chaqirsa, boshqalar nazarida qurbonlarda qurol bo’lganida talofat bu qadar katta bo’lmas edi.

Demokrat senator Richard Durbin fikricha, ayrim qurollarni sotishning umuman keragi yo’q. Masalan, aynan Konnektikutdagi fojiada ishga solingan avtomatik qurollarga sportda, ovda yoki ko’chada o’zini mudofaa qilishda ehtiyoj bormi, deya so’raydi qonunchi.

Biroq qurol tarafdorlaridan bo’lmish respublikachi kongressmen Luis Gomertning aytishicha, amerikaliklarning qurolga egalik qilish huquqi buzilmasligi kerak.

Erkin odamlarda qurol bo’ladi, chunki shundagina davlat zulmiga qarshi turish mumkin, deydi qonunchi.

Unga ko’ra, qancha ko’p fuqaroda qurol bo’lsa, shuncha yaxshi. Agar Sendi Xuk maktabidagi o’qituvchilar qurollangan bo’lganida edi, ko’p bolalarning hayotini saqlab qolish mumkin edi, deydi kongressmen Gomert.

Bolalar hayotini asrash uchun o’zini jinoyatchi tomon otgan maktab direktorining qo’lida miltiq bo’lsa edi, deydi Gomert.

Ba’zi ma’lumotlarga ko’ra, Amerikadagi har ikki oilaning birida kamida bir dona o’qotar qurol bor. Barcha qurollarni jamlab hisoblaydigan bo’lsak, ular soni 200 milliondan oshadi.
