Yozuvchi Mamadali Mahmudov ozodlikka chiqdi

Mamadali Mahmudov
Markaziy Osiyo inson huquqlari uyushmasi rahbari Nadejda Atayevaning aytishicha, O'zbekiston qamog'ida 14 yil o'tirgan yozuvchi Mamadali Mahmudov bugun ozodlikka chiqqan.

Evril Turon taxallusi bilan tanish 73 yoshli adib 1999-yil 26-fevralida qamalgan edi. Unga konstitutsion tuzumga tajovuz qilish, man etilgan uyushma va diniy tashkilotlarga a'zo bo'lish, jinoiy to'da tuzish, O'zbekiston prezidentini haqorat qilish kabi ayblovlar qo'yilib, qamoq muddati chog'ida yana bir nechta soxta ayblovlar bilan (tovlamachilik, giyohvand modda saqlaganlik) siylangan edi.

Dissident unga qo'yilgan hech bir ayblovni tan olmay, qamoqxonada qiynoqlarga solinganini ta'kidlagan.

Joriy yil 16-fevralida Mahmudovning qamoq muddati tugab, ozodlikka chiqishi kutilgan edi, biroq Toshkent viloyati G'azalkent tumani sudining 8-aprelda o'tgan mahkamasida adib qamoqxona tartibini buzganlikda aybdor deb topilib, yangi uch yillik qamoq jazosiga mahkum etilgan edi. Ammo hukm apellyatsiya qilinib, yozuvchi kutilmaganda ozod etildi.

Mamadali Mahmudov 1991-yil prezident saylovlarida ishtirok etish uchun Madaniyat jamg'armasi tomonidan nomzod sifatida ko'rsatilgan edi, ammo Markaziy saylov komissiyasi uning nomzodini ro'yxatga olmagan.

Adib qator asarlar muallifi bo'lib, uning sovet davrida yozilgan "O'lmas qoyalar" romani 2008-yilda Fransiyada fransuz tilida nashrdan chiqqan. Mamadali Mahmudov bu asari uchun "Cho'lpon" mukofotiga sazovor bo'lgan. Roman Markaziy Osiyoning Rossiya tomonidan bosib olinishi va turkiy xalqlarning bu bosqinga qarshi kurashiga bag'ishlanadi.
