Cho'lponning "Kecha va kunduz" romani Amerikada mutolaada

"Kecha va kunduz" shu kungacha ingliz, fransuz va rus tillariga tarjima qilingan

Abdulhamid Sulaymon o'g'li Cho'lpon 1936-yilda yozgan "Kecha va kunduz" romani 2019-yilda AQShda ingliz tilida chop etilgan. Tarjimon - 2015-2016 yillarda O'zbekistonda izlangan amerikalik adabiyotshunos Kristofer Fort.

22-noyabr kuni O'zbekistonning Vashingtondagi elchixonasida o'tgan badiiy kechada Fort bu loyiha haqida bafurja so'zlab berdi.

Cho'lpon 1897-yilda Andijonda tug'ilgan. Rus imperiyasi hukmronligidagi Turkistonda ta'lim olib, ma'rifat targ'ibotchisi, jadid shoir va yozuvchi sifatida tarixga kirgan. O'nlab safdoshlari qatorida Stalin qatag'oni qurboni bo'lgan. Toshkentda 1938-yilda qatl etilgan.

Uning asarlari Amerika universitetlari va ilmiy markazlarida Markaziy Osiyo adabiyoti, tarixi va madaniyatini o'rganayotgan avlodga begona emas. Chunki 20-asrning birinchi yarmidagi tahlikali davrni o'qiyotgan talabalar jadidlar, xususan Cho'lponga alohida nazar tashlaydi.

Badiiy kecha tashkilotchilaridan biri, "Oxus" Markaziy Osiyo tadqiqot jamiyati rahbari Edvard Lemon so'zlariga ko'ra, G'arbda Cho'lponning shaydolari talay.

Fort tahlilicha, jadidlar xalqni g'aflatdan uyg'onishga undagan, buning uchun esa ilmga urg'u berish kerak edi. Ammo bu jarayon qayerda qay yo'sinda boshlanar edi? Mana shu murakkab savol, zamon jumbog'i, "Kecha va kunduz" mazmunidir, deya mushohada yuritadi u.

Fort uzoq tanaffusdan keyin O'zbekiston va AQSh orasidagi "Fulbright" ta'limiy almashinuv dasturi doirasida respublikaga borib, milliy adabiyotni o'rgangan; hamkasblar bilan bog'lanib, professional hamkorlikni yo'lga qo'ygan.

Fort hozirda Bishkekda joylashgan Markaziy Osiyodagi Amerika universitetida dars beradi. O'zbek va rus tillarida bemalol gaplashadigan mutaxassis deydiki, zamonaviy o'zbek adabiyoti ham unga bag'oyat qiziq.

Amerikalik kitobxonlar uchun ularni ingliz tiliga o'g'irish yuksak ahamiyat kasb etadi, deydi u, "Amerika Ovozi" bilan suhbatda.

Fort hozirda Abdulla Qahhorning asarlarini inglizchaga tarjima qilish bilan band. Bu loyihalar vaqt, resurs hamda O'zbekistondagi adiblar va olimlar bilan yaqindan ishlashni talab etadi.

Suhbatda tarjimon "Kecha va kunduz" va Cho'lpon haqidagi o'ziga xos tahlili bilan o'rtoqlashdi.
