Uzoq yillar davomida mintaqada muxbirlik qilgan, yangi mustaqil o’lkalarni kezib, siyosat va hayotni yoritgan Shishkin deydiki, kitob faktlarga asoslangan, ammo siyosiy tahlil emas, balki bir kuzatuvchining esdaliklari.

Filip Shishkin asli Rossiyada, Sovet davrida Leningrad deb atalgan bugungi Sankt-Peterburgda voyaga yetgan. 35 yoshli jurnalist o’tgan 12 yilini Markaziy Osiyoda o’tkazdi. Yaqin do’stlarim, hamfirklarim va maslakdoshlarim shu ajoyib mintaqa vakillari, deydi u. Qonida tatarlar ham borligini aytadi. Yaqin qarindoshi Toshkentda yashab o’tgan. O’zbekistonni yoritgan paytlarida unga mahalliy faollar va jurnalistlar yaqindan yordam bergan. Jumladan, huquq himoyachisi Surat Ikromov va “Amerika Ovozi” jamoatchi muxbiri Malik Mansur. Bu insonlar har lahza o’z hayotini xavf ostiga qo’yib, hamkorlik qilgan va yurti hayotini yaqindan tushunishimda bebaho madad ko’rsatgan, deya yozadi Shishkin o’z kitobida.

“Notinch vodiy: Markaziy Osiyo yuragidagi inqilob, qotillik va o’yinlar” – jurnalist guvoh bo’lgan va yoritgan voqealar haqida hikoya qiladi. Mintaqaning Amerika, Rossiya va Xitoy bilan aloqalari tilga olinadi, ammo Shishkinning maqsadi ularni tahlil qilish yoki oq-qoraga ajratish emas. Xulosani o’quvchining o’zi qilsin, deydi u.

Kitobdan asosan Qirg’izistondagi ikki inqilob tafsilotlari o’rin olgan. Asqar Akayev va Qurmanbek Bakiyevni ag’darib ulkan o’zgarishlar kutgan va xafsalasi pir bo’lgan, birdam jamiyat sifatida oldinga siljishga qiynalayotgan, iqtisod va tirikchilik qiyin, jinoyat va korrupsiya chuqur ildiz otgan mamlakat qissasi bu. Biroq, deydi muallif, Qirg’izistonda aholi, qay elat vakili bo’lmasin, kelajakka umidni boy bermagan. Nimadir qilishga, biror ijobiy o’zgarish yo’lida xizmat ko’rsatishga urinayotgan yoshlar ko’p.

Siyosatchi va ko’zga ko’ringan arboblarning o’ldirilishi, hiyla va fitnalar, qoradori savdosi, uyushgan jinoiy tizimlar… Afg’onistondagi urushda Manas aeroportidan foydalanayotgan G’arbdan ko’proq pul undirish uchun Bishkekda tuzilgan rejalar, Amerika va Rossiya bilan oldi-berdi, qo’shni Xitoydan kirib kelayotgan mol va sarmoya, ishsizlik, qashshoqlik, ijtimoiy tengsizlik, millatchilik, qonunsizlik. Zamonaviy Qirg’izistondagi real hayot aks etadi kitobda.

Kitobning O’zbekiston haqidagi qismi respublikaning yaqin o’tmishiga nazar tashlaydi. Avtoritar siyosat, repressiya, “bosqichma-bosqich rivojlanish”, Andijon voqealari, prezident Islom Karimov va uning oilasi qudrati… Sovet davridan qolgan illatlar, yangi davr olib kelgan muammolar, bugungi tirikchilik, xalq va hukumat bir-biridan qanchalik uzoq ekanini aks ettirgan hikoyalar.

Sovet davrida dunyoga kelgan, hayotining birinchi 15 yilini o’sha tuzumda kechirgan mutaxassis o’z kuzatuvlarida sobiq ittifoq qoldirgan dog’ va yaralarga ko’p e’tibor beradi. Ulardan tuzalish oson emasligini tan oladi. Lekin muallif bu xalqlar yakkahokimlikka o’rgangan, mintaqaga temir panjali rahbarlar kerak degan iddaolarni tubdan rad etadi.

Fargo’na vodiysidek go’zal va boy maskan - Markaziy Osiyo yuragi, deya yozadi u. Mintaqani qiynayotgan muammolar o’tmishga emas, bugunga xos va ularning yechimi ham hozirgi va ertangi avlodlar qo’lida, deydi Filip Shishkin.
